Edward McKenney has significant experience with civil trials in both state and federal courts, handling cases in Arkansas, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Kentucky and Tennessee. He concentrates his practice in the areas of business litigation, municipal law, employment law defense, medical malpractice, personal injury, contract disputes, products liability cases, unfair trade practice disputes, construction disputes and education law. He has been with Harris Shelton since 1979 and worked as a staff attorney for Memphis Area Legal Services two years prior. He also is the Bartlett City Attorney.
A Memphis native, Mr. McKenney is heavily involved in the community. He was the charter president of the Northeast Shelby County Rotary Club, as well as a member of the board of directors for the American Heart Association Memphis Branch, United Cerebral Palsy of the Mid-South, Mental Health Center and Memphis Jaycees. In addition, he has volunteered at Christian Brothers High School through the parents club and at St. Dominic School. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Barbara, and son, Ryan. He is also an avid sports fan.
