Steve Douglass focuses his practice in the areas of bankruptcy law and commercial litigation, serving clients such as bankruptcy trustees, banks, debtors, creditor committees and agricultural lenders. He served as the legislative assistant for the Honorable Sam B. Hall Jr. and then served as assistant counsel to the Committee on the Judiciary of the U.S. House of Representatives. He later served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable David S. Kennedy, Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Tennessee. He is a past chair of the Bankruptcy Section of the Memphis Bar Association and has served on the Bankruptcy Court Liaison Committee of the Western District of Tennessee. Mr. Douglass has lectured extensively on various bankruptcy issues.
