Rice Byars has more than 24 years of experience in probate matters, asset protection and estate planning with emphasis on structuring complicated and large estates, including drafting trusts (domestic, offshore, generation-skipping, grantor-retained annuity, qualified personal residence, charitable, living and insurance), family limited partnerships, private foundations, durable powers of attorney and living wills.
As a Memphis native, he strives to serve the community in many ways. Mr. Byars can be found around town sharing his knowledge and speaking at various charitable and civic organizations. He also serves on the board of directors of the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis. He enjoys playing golf, traveling and spending time with his family – wife, Susan, and two teenage children, George and Virginia.
