Emily Morton is an associate attorney with a broad focus in the areas of real estate and corporate law. A Memphis native, she attended The University of Mississippi for both undergraduate and legal education.
Prior to Harris Shelton, Ms. Morton had a clerkship with a well-known real estate firm in Oxford while in law school. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, she spent her summers interning in Washington D.C. at the public interest group Wider Opportunities for Women and in the Memphis Office of U.S. Senator Bob Corker. Earning a Bachelor of Arts in political science, she graduated summa cum laude from the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College and was the sole recipient of the Howard Stone Scholarship.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her 8-year-old golden retriever, Shelby Jolene, who she found through the Memphis and Birmingham Golden Retriever rescue groups.
