Russell White is licensed in both Florida and Tennessee and focuses his practice in the areas of business and corporate law, estate planning, probate and trusts, and real estate law. He began practicing law in 1984 at Rogers, Morris and Ziegler in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he worked for 22 years as a partner in the areas of commercial litigation, probate, probate litigation, real estate negotiations and closings (commercial and residential), title insurance, estate planning, municipal and administrative law, lease negotiations, foreclosures, collections, landlord/tenant law, creditor-side bankruptcy, appeals and business law. During that time, he also served as city attorney for the City of Oakland Park from 1997 to 2001 and as general counsel to Broward County Board of Rules and Appeals (from 2010 to 2013), the agency charged with the enforcement of the Florida Building Code in Broward County. In January 2014, after 30 years with his Florida firm, he moved to Memphis, where he worked as a senior attorney at The Bailey Law Firm before joining the Harris Shelton team in March 2015.
A resident of the Lakeland community, Mr. White enjoys spending time with his wife, Sandy; his children; and his four granddaughters in his spare time. He is a member of Second Presbyterian Church where he teaches Sunday school and Bible study groups. His hobbies include traveling, watching sports and reading. He played College baseball and basketball for the University of Chicago.
