Ameshia Forrest specializes in business and corporate law and bankruptcy. Admitted to the Tennessee Bar Association in 2023, she is well-equipped to navigate the intricacies of both state and federal courts. Ameshia’s educational journey reflects her commitment to excellence, with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in economics from Belmont University in 2018. In 2022, she earned the degrees Juris Doctor and Master of Business from the University of Memphis.

Ameshia’s legal career began as an extern for Chief Magistrate Judge Tu Pham in the Western District of Tennessee during her law school years. Subsequently, she served as a law clerk at Harris Shelton and later undertook a federal judicial clerkship for the Western District of Tennessee under Judge John T. Fowlkes.

Her legal philosophy centers on a meticulous and client-centric approach. At Harris Shelton, she contributes to the firm’s reputation for professionalism and excellence. Ameshia’s passion for law extends beyond her practice, as evidenced by her role as managing editor for The University of Memphis Law Review in 2021-2022 and her active involvement in various legal associations and scholarships.

Outside of her legal pursuits, Ameshia enjoys shopping, reading, exploring new restaurants, attending off-broadway shows at the Orpheum Theatre, indulging in Lifetime movies, and cherishing moments with family and friends. Born in Canton, Mississippi, and now embracing Memphis as her home, she brings a unique blend of experiences and dedication to her legal career.
