Hubert Bailey Jones brings more than four decades of legal expertise to Harris Shelton, specializing in health care liability and wills and estates. Admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 1977, he expanded his practice to the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee in 1979 and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in 1995. Jones earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law.

Prior to joining Harris Shelton in 2023, Jones held the position of Senior Partner at Jones Lay, PLC, and its predecessor firms in Dyersburg, Tennessee, for over 40 years. His legal philosophy revolves around a client-centric approach, thoroughly understanding each case to determine the best course of action.

Jones has a Martindale Hubbell AV Preeminent Rating, holds the title of Fellow at the Tennessee Bar Foundation, and serves as a Master of the Bench at Howell Edmunds Jackson American Inns of Court. His civic involvement has included roles such as President of the Dyersburg Noon Rotary Club and a Member of the Dyersburg City School Board. Jones’ dedication to legal excellence and community service makes him a valuable addition to the Harris Shelton team.

He is married to Delores Shipley Jones, and they have two children (Abigail Jones Sala and Jason Jones) and three grandchildren.
