Latham Oates

Latham Oates has been practicing real estate law in the Memphis area since 1983. He works with clients on residential, commercial, and construction matters.  A former business owner for nearly ten years, Latham understands the risks that his clients face when deciding to invest their time and money in real estate transactions. His experience as an attorney and entrepreneur position him to understand the complex issues and unforeseeable challenges that are consistently present in today’s real estate market.

At the beginning of his career, Latham worked at several local firms as a real estate attorney, becoming a partner in 1990. In August 2007, he retired from legal practice. Latham resumed his legal career in November 2016 when he joined the Harris Shelton team as of counsel.
