Lauren M. Meriwether

Lauren Meriwether joined Harris Shelton in 2022. She concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate and commercial financing, including real estate and asset-based loans, commercial leasing, and mergers and acquisitions. Lauren is respected for her collaborative and collegial approach, refined over a legal career spent working closely with people on transactional matters. She began her practice in real estate, representing homebuilders and developers in land acquisition and financing, construction and development financing, and residential purchase and sale transactions.

Lauren is a member of the Tennessee, Mississippi, and Memphis Bar Associations. She has been an active affiliate member of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors since 2014, where she serves as Chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee and is a past President of the Affiliate Council. Lauren has been recognized by Thomson Reuters Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Real Estate since 2023. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys working with Community Development Corporations and real estate-related foundations to promote and encourage home ownership, neighborhood stabilization, and the reduction of blight.
