Williamson Brandt currently serves as a key member of the Harris Shelton Tax Team, providing expertise in complex tax matters, M&A, business transactions, and estate planning. Holding an LL.M in Taxation from Georgetown Law, he brings a depth of technical proficiency and specialized knowledge to his clients’ diverse needs.

Prior to his tenure at Harris Shelton, Williamson’s commitment to understanding tax law was evident in his academic pursuits. At Belmont Law School, he secured a joint JD/MBA degree on a Dean’s scholarship and was honored with the CALI award for excellence in State and Local Taxation.

Before law school, he studied economics at Samford University. His capstone research there, focusing on the relationship between tax policy and public markets, laid the foundation for his passion in tax law and set the trajectory for his professional journey.

Outside of his formal education, Williamson’s experiences are varied and impactful. He has served on a nonprofit board in Nashville, analyzed investments in Rwanda for Westrock Coffee, and did a congressional internship on Capitol Hill, offering a broad perspective to his legal approach.

Born in Memphis and raised in Jonesboro, AR, Williamson is an avid football fan, sub-par golfer, and enjoys traveling with his wife. His commitment to community involvement and varied experiences make him a well-rounded and trusted advisor in the areas of tax, M&A, business transactions, and estate planning.
