Jonathan Martin has significant litigation experience in the areas of defending medical malpractice and personal injury claims. He is a licensed Rule 31 mediator who is willing to travel to mediate your case, regardless of whether it is one of health care liability, or any other type of dispute. He understands the complex challenges facing the health care industry and partners with his clients to help achieve a resolution that aligns with their business and individual goals.
Jonathan frequently represents hospitals, long-term care facilities, outpatient surgery facilities, family practice clinics, nurse practitioners, nurse anesthetists, and nurses. This includes not only malpractice claims, but also defending these health care providers in licensure board disciplinary actions.
He also counsels health care providers in matters involving premises liability claims, debt collection, practice contracts, contract disputes, HIPAA consulting/training, and regulatory matters. Additionally, he is experienced in general large tort defense cases, as well physician credentialing and other practice matters, and representing post-secondary/medical students in disciplinary matters.
Jonathan lives and practices in both Memphis and Chattanooga, Tennessee. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching the Memphis Grizzlies and Memphis Tigers, trail running, and competing in other endurance events. He is an Ironman triathlete and a regular 50k trail runner.
