Steve Douglass focuses his practice in the areas of bankruptcy law and commercial litigation, serving clients such as bankruptcy trustees, banks, debtors, creditor committees, agricultural lenders; and receiving appointments as a trustee and receiver. Steve served as the legislative assistant for the honorable Sam B. Hall Jr. and then as assistant counsel to the Committee on the Judiciary of the U.S. House of Representatives. He later served as judicial law clerk to the honorable David S. Kennedy, Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Tennessee. He is a past chair of the Bankruptcy Section of the Memphis Bar Association and has served on the Bankruptcy Court Liaison Committee of the Western District of Tennessee. Steve has lectured extensively on various bankruptcy issues.
