Brad Gilmer has obtained numerous jury verdicts for his clients over the course of his career. While he has wide-ranging trial experience, he primarily represents health care providers in professional negligence suits. This includes hospitals, long term care facilities, drug and alcohol rehabilitation institutions, physicians, dentists, and other licensed health care professionals. He also represents other non-medical professionals in professional malpractice actions, as well as medical device manufacturers in product liability matters. Additionally, Brad has considerable experience in the representation of business and individuals in negligence actions, premises liability actions, lease disputes, and other commercial litigation.

Prior to joining Harris Shelton, Brad began his career at Domico Kyle where he worked from 2001-2013. He then joined the Hardison Law Firm from 2013-2017, and Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell and Berkowitz from 2017-2019.

Brad now serves his clients at Harris Shelton by finding practical solutions for complex problems. He approaches each situation by understanding the evidence and believes that it is important to fully investigate the facts from the beginning of the lawsuit. By understanding the complete set of facts at an early stage, he can properly choreograph each step of the litigation with his clients.

Having been raised on a farm, Brad is now an avid gardener. He also enjoys volunteering at Shelby County Juvenile Court. He and his wife, Sarah, are supporters of the local arts and love the Memphis Grizzlies.
