Harris Shelton Hanover Walsh, PLLC recently served as a sponsor of The Federalist Society’s annual Tennessee Chapters Conference in Nashville, an event that draws together judges, attorneys, and legal thinkers from across the state for meaningful discussion on the law and the profession.
This year’s conference featured a distinguished group of speakers, including Tennessee Supreme Court Justices Sarah Campbell and Mary Wagner, Tennessee Court of Appeals Judge Valerie Smith, United States District Court Judge Brian Lea, and United States Attorney Michael Dunavant. Their insights offered attendees a valuable look at the issues shaping Tennessee’s courts and legal landscape.
A highlight of the conference each year is the presentation of the John L. Ryder Legacy Award. Named in honor of the late Harris Shelton attorney John Ryder, the award is presented annually to a Tennessee attorney who embodies his legacy of service, statesmanship, and legal excellence. This year, Harris Shelton attorney Jacob Swatley took part in presenting the award to its recipient, Paul C. Ney, Jr. It was a meaningful moment for our firm to help carry forward John’s enduring example within the profession he loved.
We are also proud that Harris Shelton attorneys Will Brantley and Jacob Swatley hold leadership positions within the Federalist Society’s Memphis chapter, reflecting our firm’s ongoing commitment to service and engagement in the broader legal community.
